WELCOME TO
ALTURA VOLLEYBALL CLUB
Technique, Confidence, Character.
Altura Volleyball Club is a premier competitive volleyball club for girls ages 11–14 in the South Bay Area. Altura Volleyball focuses on belonging and cultivates game skills and life skills by working with the whole player—one athlete at a time.
ABOUT ALTURA VOLLEYBALL
In response to the rapid growth of girls' volleyball nationwide, Altura Volleyball Club offers high-level coaching in a personalized, smaller-club environment. We believe that a competitive atmosphere and a positive team culture go hand in hand. Players are challenged to push themselves, support their teammates, and develop the confidence to navigate the highs and lows of the game.

LEADERSHIP & COACHING
Head Coach: Meagan Mitchell
Head Coach & Athlete Development Specialist
Coach Meagan brings almost a decade of volleyball coaching experience to Altura Volleyball Club. She began her coaching career in beach volleyball before transitioning to indoor club volleyball, giving her experience working with athletes across different ages, skill levels, and styles of play. She competed for over 8 years, and was a Norcal Division Champion in beach volleyball in 2021.
As a coach, Meagan believes that volleyball is about much more than developing technical skills. She is passionate about helping athletes become confident, resilient, and strong competitors who know how to handle mistakes, overcome challenges, and support the players around them.
At Altura, Meagan is excited to build a program that prioritizes player development, teamwork, confidence, and a love for the competition. She believes that a competitive environment and a positive team culture go hand in hand. Players will be challenged to push themselves, compete for their teammates, and work through the highs and lows that come with the game. Ultimately, we want our athletes to leave the season not only as better volleyball players, but as athletes who are comfortable competing, responding to adversity, and believing in themselves.
Outside of coaching, Meagan has a background in psychology and a particular interest in sports psychology and athlete development.
